Position Summary:
The Asst. Sect Manager will provide direct leadership and resources to Coordinators, Administrators, and Staff I Associates in support of the PPC Mass Production, New Model, and Cycle Count Units to ensure goals and objectives within their areas of responsibility are met. This individual must possess an in-depth knowledge of the overall operation, roles, and responsibilities of the PPC department.
Essential Functions:
Enforce company policies, business plan, and budget targets.
Create/Enforce/Review/Maintain department business plan/budget targets.
Conduct training/give guidance for Coordinators as needed.
Ensure Associate Relation function/responsibilities are being carried out (Kronos, Disciplinary Action, Department Meetings, interview potential associates, good department morale, etc.).
Maintain proper department workload balancing.
Monitor/Control/Approve expedited freight.
Monitor/Control production downtime.
Create/maintain up to date NM master plan by model
Track NM part / tool cost & trial event part inventory
Support NMR process, improve supplier performance
Liaison between suppliers and end users to ensure lines of communication regarding inventory, pricing, invoicing, and problem resolution are maintained and issues are resolved
Serve as a liaison with North American corporate purchasing and sales
Facilitate/oversee forecasting/releasing methods/accuracy to suppliers.
Maintain/Guide overall Inventory Control activity (cycle counting, physical inventories, month end inventory levels, troubleshooting variances, etc.).
Responsible for overall Supplier Delivery performance.
Ensure timely transfer/transition of new model activity from NM to MP Buyers.
Facilitate/Control timely completion of Build-out related activity (B/O# creation, issue # s, compensation claims, etc.) to avoid excess dead stock.
Support other departments on any part-related issues.
Maintain filing, email, phone calls, etc. Daily.
Maintain clean work area (5S).
Ensure Limited QMS/EMS audit tasks, Corporate Governance, JSOX compliance.
Perform other duties as required and assigned.
