We're looking for a Body Weld Integration Support Coordinator to assist in the development and execution of welding processes within the automotive body shop. This position supports the planning division through project coordination, equipment setup, and collaboration with technical teams during the launch and enhancement of production systems.
The coordinator will work alongside engineering and planning teams to provide logistical, technical, and administrative assistance throughout the lifecycle of body weld projects. This includes installation, system validation, documentation, and interdepartmental coordination.
Oversee and track scheduling and milestone adherence for body shop process projects.
Prepare meeting materials, document discussions, and monitor task completion for internal stakeholders.
Maintain updated logs of pending tasks and generate regular progress briefings.
Serve as a communication liaison for leadership and technical teams, drafting reports and internal updates.
Assist with drafting technical documentation, specifications, and procurement requests.
Support the preparation of system layouts and drawing revisions using design software.
Work with procurement teams to follow up on vendor quotes, contracts, and purchasing documents.
Facilitate coordination between planning, production, quality, and maintenance units to support pre-production and production readiness activities.
Monitor and report on cost tracking, project deliverables, and risk mitigation activities.
Provide backup and overflow support across technical planning roles as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Management, Engineering, or Industrial Technology.
Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical) is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
Experience with project workflows and documentation control.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems.
Skilled in technical drawing interpretation and layout analysis.
Familiarity with digital design tools (2D/3D CAD).
Exposure to robotics and automation systems.
Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery and production equipment.
Experience with manufacturing systems used in automotive production (e.g., Volkswagen standards).
Time will be divided between office settings and industrial work areas, including shop floors and production lines.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and stand or move for extended periods.
Compliance with all site safety protocols is required.
No travel anticipated.
May be required to work flexible hours during major equipment installations or shutdown periods.
