Industrial Electrician

Job Description

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with local codes and regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and power tools to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues.
  • Work with low voltage systems as well as high voltage installations.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including commercial electricians and carpenters, to complete projects effectively.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become problems.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and adheres to industry standards.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience using various power tools and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in frame carpentry is a plus but not required.
