The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory across the plant by leading cycle count activities, supporting physical inventory preparation, and resolving discrepancies related to receiving, production, and system transactions. This role requires a strong understanding of material flow within the ERP system and the ability to identify root causes of inventory variances.
In this role, you will analyze inventory data, present improvement recommendations, and help drive process enhancements to strengthen inventory accuracy. You will also train and support team members to ensure proper reporting and consistent inventory practices throughout the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and execute plant-wide cycle count programs to ensure inventory accuracy
• Coordinate and prepare for physical inventory activities
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including receiving and production
errors
• Analyze data and present findings with recommendations for process improvements
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory transactions within the ERP system
• Train and support team members on proper inventory reporting and procedures
• Collaborate with production, receiving, and warehouse teams to ensure inventory
integrity
• Identify process gaps and implement solutions to improve inventory control
Qualifications:
• Experience with inventory control in a manufacturing or plant environment
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and inventory transactions
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to troubleshoot discrepancies and identify root causes
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to present findings and train others • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement
• Automotive manufacturing preferred
