Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Department: Maintenance

Schedule: 3rd shift 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Summary

Provide for all maintenance functions by managing and maintaining a staff of qualified technicians and external contractors as required. Responsible for supporting production through effective maintenance leadership, equipment reliability, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential Functions

  • Certified in light and heavy current electrical systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality; available for overtime and weekend work as needed.
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions.
  • Apply detailed knowledge to create and communicate written and verbal instructions.
  • Solve problems involving multiple variables and changing situations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and control maintenance costs.
  • Review maintenance materials and chemicals used throughout the facility to ensure compliance with specifications and company requirements while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  • Monitor and optimize utility consumption throughout the facility.
  • Establish, monitor, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
  • Support production operations to ensure achievement of production goals and customer requirements.
  • Manage maintenance personnel and outside contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and effective completion of maintenance activities.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the department.

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed on the manufacturing plant floor and requires regular interaction with production equipment, maintenance personnel, and operational leadership.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stand, reach, climb, and work around manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to work from elevated platforms, lifts, and other access equipment as required.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety regulations and requirements.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses immediately to supervision.
  • Follow all company safety policies, plant rules, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Wear and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devices.
  • Promote and support a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.

Training Requirements

  • New Hire Orientation and Onboarding
  • Ongoing maintenance, safety, and leadership training as required
  • Additional training needs to be evaluated during the performance review process

Job Requirements

Required Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Electrical, Maintenance, Electronic Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance supervisory experience in a production facility.

Additional Information

There is a $1.00 shift differential for 3rd shift.
