Material Service Manager

Direct and manage activities of the department to support plant production operations.

Essential Functions:

• Direct and supervise daily production support activities (S&R, WH, Line delivery, and Freight)
• Direct and supervise daily production
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedule
• Recommend measures to improve material handling, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
• Manage manpower requirement
• Manage budget
• Prepare and manage business plan
• Coordinate and attend meetings
• Direct and manage safety
• Manage QAD Activities
• Maintain the E-time and the Attendance Editor
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedule
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality product
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
• Make sure product meets customer’s request and drawings on or before ship date
• Supervise department in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Manage new model activities as well as QMS/EMS procedures

• Manage and enforce all company policies
• Participate and assist in physical inventory

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with good leadership and staff development skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ensure change point controls are followed

Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED required
• Advanced education preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation standards, and check sheets.
• Three to five years of manufacturing experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license
