Position Summary

Our client is seeking a dependable and hands-on Night Shift Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations at its Eclectic, Alabama facility. This position is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and helping ensure production equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or similar environment and be comfortable working independently on the night shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance needs in a timely manner.
• Diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist with equipment installation, modifications, and improvements as needed.
• Support efforts to reduce equipment downtime and improve overall equipment reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and document repairs and completed work.
• Communicate equipment issues and maintenance needs to supervisors and other team members.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist production personnel with equipment-related issues when needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous industrial, manufacturing, production, or mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing or industrial equipment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment safely.
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, work orders, and maintenance documentation.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs during the night shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
