Job Description

1st Shift

Mon-Fri
6:00am-2:30pm

Reports to the Production Supervisor

Set up, operate and tear down a variety of punch presses to perform punching, drawing and forming operations on all types of material to the required tolerances, as well as set up and operate coil feed equipment and CNC turret presses with minimal training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Read and understand blueprints and routings to produce parts according to required tolerances.
Responsible for the quality of the parts produced, performing first piece inspections and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality.
Care for routine maintenance and keep the work area neat and clean.
Follow all rules regarding machine operation and machine guarding.
Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality, and safety.

PUNCH PRESS AND BRAKE DEPARTMENT REQUIRED TOOLING LIST:
Allen Wrench Set (1/16 inch sizes)
Machinist Square (12 or 24 inch)
Tape Measure (12 foot)
Calipers (8 inch minimum, Dial or Digital)
Center Punch
Scriber
Ball Peen Hammer
15/16-inch Combination Wrench (Punch Press only)
Protractor (Press Brake only)
Large Screwdriver (Press Brake only)
Tool Box for the above tools
New Hire Incentive Bonus:
$1, 000 in 3 payments ($200 after 3 months, $400 after 6 months, $400 after 12 months) *Must not have any disciplines in that quarter.
The employee will receive the following payments if there are no write-ups in the quarter:
$200 after 3 months
$400 after 6 months
$400 after 12 months

Job Requirements

Possess and be able to use machinist squares, dial calipers, and other inspection equipment to ensure the quality of the parts being produced. Must be equipped with all the required tools to perform job functions.
Physical ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 30 lbs frequently.
Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly.
