Patternmaker Apprentice

Currently seeking the right candidate to enter our Patternmaker apprenticeship program

Apprentice training program overview

  • Three-year apprenticeship program
  • At the completion of the program, you will have learned the fundamental skills required to design and build foundry / casting tooling
  • Required training will include in-house, online and offsite (Community College)
  • In-house training includes
  • Hands-on experience training with individuals in our green sand-casting operation (job shadowing)
  • Training alongside journeyman patternmakers with many years of experience in the trade (job shadowing and assisting)
  • Programming, setup and operation of CNC machining equipment
  • 3D scanning and printing

Job Requirements

Minimum requirements to begin the apprentice program (applicant must have verifiable evidence of at least one of the below)

  • High School Diploma and a minimum 80% score on our skills assessment test
  • Machine Tool Technology Certificate or currently enrolled in such program
  • Proven / demonstrated strong background in manual or CNC machining
