SK Services is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations for a client in Munford, AL. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate AP and AR records in JobBOSS and supporting payroll- and accounting-related workflows in ADP.

HR experience is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Enter, review, and maintain vendor invoices in JobBOSS
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving records
  • Track payment terms, due dates, and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with weekly check runs and ACH processing
  • Maintain organized AP documentation and audit trails

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Ensure customer invoices in JobBOSS are complete & correct.
  • Monitor customer accounts, aging reports, and collections
  • Apply customer payments and resolve short pays or disputes
  • Coordinate with sales and operations on billing issues

Systems & Recordkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate AP/AR records in JobBOSS
  • Work in ADP to support payroll-related accounting entries and reporting
  • Ensure consistency between JobBOSS, ADP, and general ledger records
  • Assist with month-end close activities as assigned

HR Support (Plus):

  • Assist with basic HR administrative tasks as needed
  • Support onboarding paperwork, payroll setup, and employee record maintenance in ADP

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, AP, and AR
  • Experience with manufacturing or job-shop accounting preferred
  • Familiarity with JobBOSS or similar ERP systems strongly preferred
  • Experience with ADP a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting systems
  • Clear written and verbal communication

This position supports foundry operations by performing grinding, sanding, cleaning, and general utility tasks to finish castings and maintain workflow. The role focuses on removing excess metal, preparing castings for inspection or machining, and assisting with material handling and shop upkeep.

 

Key Responsibilities

Grinding & Finishing

  • Operate pedestal grinders, hand grinders, belt sanders, and other finishing tools

  • Remove gates, risers, flash, and surface imperfections from castings

  • Smooth and shape cast surfaces to meet quality and dimensional requirements

  • Inspect castings during and after grinding to identify defects or rework needs

  • Follow proper techniques to avoid over grinding or damaging castings

Sanding & Surface Prep

  • Sand castings to achieve required surface finish

  • Prepare parts for painting, coating, or further machining

  • Use abrasive tools safely and efficiently

  • Maintain sanding equipment and replace consumables as needed

Utility & Support Duties

  • Move castings between workstations using hoists, carts, or manual handling

  • Assist molders, coremakers, or furnace operators as needed

  • Clean work areas, remove scrap metal, and maintain general shop organization

  • Load and unload castings, tooling, and materials

  • Support production flow by completing miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors

 

Safety & Compliance

  • Wear required PPE including face shields, respirators, gloves, and hearing protection
